Do you like exploring old buildings but not so excited about tetanus shots and trespassing citations?

Here are a few sites that let you satisfy your curiosity without the risks:

— Gadling.Com has video of the shuttered Six Flags New Orleans. They locked it up when Hurricane Katrina was headed toward shore. Years later, they have yet to open it. More here .

— Photographer Andrew Moore has urban archeology shots from Detroit. The photos show the remnants of Motor City’s hay day. If you missed them in National Geographic November 2010, Moore has them and more on his own site here . My favorite shows the decaying Baroque features of an old theater. I like the contrast of the warm light coming through the door at the bottom.

— Of course there is the essential urban exploration site  .
