Waiting in the trees. (c) 2014 J.S. Reinitz

Yesterday afternoon, three teens tried to break in to our garage, but my wife, who was building a tree house in the maple right next to the garage, surprised the crap out of them. They took off down they alley empty handed. I’m not sure what they would have taken, aside from some old tools, an Elmo sprinkler toy and our returnable bottle collection.

I hopped on my bike and rode around looking for the trio (I really have to fix that back rim), but didn’t have any luck, and a patrol officer circled the neighborhood.

Today, my son is in the tree house all camoed up waiting to call at the first sign of trouble.
